Overview

Again working with Taylor & Fraser we were contracted to supply and install structural steel and metalwork in the refurbishment of Younger Hall in the campus of St Andrews University.

Working closely with the site team, we completed 2 steel frame extensions to the east and west elevations of the existing building as well as a wide range of strengthening steel and architectural metalwork including stairs, handrails and street furniture.

Project Specifics

• c. 10t structural steel frames to create extensions to the east and west elevations.
• 3 internal lift core frames.
• Steel frame to form lightwell.
• Custom ship ladder to allow access to attic space.
• Various steel members to support internal stonework.
• Project Duration 6 Months on and off.
